How to make Easy Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice

To make this easy and simple chicken fried rice, you only need to spend around 20 minutes to serve around six plates at home. Simply read and follow all of the steps below to make some for your family.


  • 30 ml sesame oil
  • 30 ml canola or you can use vegetable oil
  • 450 gr chicken breasts with no bones and skins, cut into small cubes
  • 300 gr peas and diced carrots, frozen
  • Three green onions, cut into thin rounds
  • Three garlic cloves, minced
  • Three beaten eggs
  • Cooked rice. Here, you may use brown rice or long-grain rice
  • 60 ml soy sauce, choose the low sodium soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


1Firstly, prepare a large non-stick skillet, or you may use a wok. Then, heat it with the olive oil over medium-high heat. When it gets hot enough, add the chicken cubes to cook for around 3 to 5 minutes until they get cooked thoroughly. Next, remove the chicken cubes into a plate and let a little oil remains on the skillet.

2Still using the same skillet, you need to combine some ingredients in it, like the frozen peas, frozen carrot cubes, and slices of green onions. Cook and stir these vegetables occasionally for around 2 minutes until they turn soft. After that, add garlic in it and cook for another minute.
