How to make Lemon Garlic Pasta

  • 10-15 cloves of garlic
  • 65 ml of extra-virgin olive oil
  • 75 gr of lemon juice or you may simply juice a large lemon or two small lemons
  • Zested lemon
  • A pinch of salt to taste
  • A pinch of red pepper flakes for more spicy flavor
  • 225 gr of cooked pasta. Here, you may choose the angel hair pasta
  • Grated parmesan cheese


1Prepare a safe oven dish and put all of the garlic cloves that have been peeled. Next, you may add some olive oil on top of the garlic. After that, you may cover the dish with aluminum foil. Next, put it into the oven over 400 Fahrenheit-degree for around 30 to 40 minutes.

2After the garlic mixture turns quite golden brown, you may take it out of the oven and let it cool for around 2 to 3 minutes. Next, you need to chop this garlic into several small pieces. Also, while waiting for the garlic to be processed in the oven, you may prepare for other ingredients as written below.

3While waiting for 40 minutes for the garlic, you may cook the pasta. Here, you just need to follow the instructions written in the package of the pasta from the beginning until the end. After that, you may set the pasta aside for a while.

4Go back to the garlic. You need to saute them in a large saute pan that has been heated up over medium or low heat with the olive oil in it. Here, you need to stir the garlic occasionally, and you may also chop the garlic into much smaller parts while stirring for around 4 to 5 minutes.

5After that, add other ingredients like lemon juice into the saute pan. Cook and combine the ingredients for around 2 to 3 minutes. Next, lower the heat to low heat and add again with other ingredients like red pepper flakes for the spicy flavor and salt to taste. Last but not least, stir well with cooked pasta and lemon garlic sauce until they are fully combined.

Now, your homemade Lemon Garlic Pasta is ready to serve. You just need to place the pasta into several serving dishes and garnish with a bit of olive oil along with the lemon zest and the grated parmesan cheese.
