How to make One Skillet Chicken with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce
To make some at home, just follow the recipe below which will be enough for four persons.
- Four pieces chicken breasts or thighs with no bones and skins
- Salt and pepper as the seasoning
- 200 ml chicken broth
- 30 gr lemon juice
- A tablespoon minced garlic
- A half teaspoon of red pepper flakes to add spicy flavor
- A tablespoon olive oil
- 65 gr diced shallots, you may also use red onions
- 30 gr salted butter
- 50 gr heavy cream
- 30 gr chopped parsley, you may use chopped basil
1First, you may prepare a mallet to pound the chicken breasts or thighs into a half inch thick cuts. After that, you need to season the chicken simply by adding the salt and pepper. Also, make sure you season both sides of the chicken evenly. Then, you may set them aside for a while.
2Then, prepare a small bowl to combine some ingredients like chicken broth, the lemon juice, the red pepper flakes and the garlic. Mix well and set aside. To continue, heat the oven over 375 Fahrenheit-degree or 190 celsius-degree and place a rack in its lower third to preheat.
3Next, prepare a large skillet and heat it with olive oil over medium-high heat. Then, add the chicken to it. Cook for around 2 to 3 minutes to brown each side of the chicken pieces. Here, it would be okay if the chicken is not completely cooked. You may cook it again in the oven. Just simply put it on a plate after 3 minutes.

5After that, turn off the heat and add butter to the sauce. Stir to melt the butter completely. Next, add the heavy cream and stir again. Then, turn on the heat and cook for around 30 seconds. Most importantly, don’t let it boiled. To continue, turn the heat off and add the chicken in it to coat with the sauce.
